A bit about me

Hi there 👋 

So just a little bit about me . I’m Lou , a forty something year old who is originally from Nuneaton near Coventry but I now reside in beautiful Hampshire in a town called Fareham which is located between Portsmouth and Southampton. I worked as a social worker for 17 years but when I had my last child 7 years ago I decided to take some time off to look after my three children . I am the main carer for my gorgeous son George who has autism. Around 5 years ago I made some novelty sweet cones for Christmas to raise some money for a local autistic charity. I’ve always loved anything crafty and creative and I enjoyed making these sweet cones so much that I decided to try my hand at making it into a small business! I did my relevant health and safety training and acquired a 5 star hygiene certification from the local council. Soon my business was thriving so I expanded to making other items and  I purchased my first Cricut machine . I then decided to start making wax melts too !  Having always been a HUGE fan of wax melts and candles I wanted to make home fragrance products that were high quality, affordable and as eco friendly as possible . So fast forwarding to the present day I now have a small business called Home Sweet Home which makes seasonal sweet treats  , personalised items, gifts and hand made items and then I have my other part of my small business which is MagnifiSCENT Wax which makes high quality wax melts and related items . I have two separate social media pages for these businesses but just the one website . I work hard at keeping my products high quality but at as low priced as possible . I have a high level of interaction on my Facebook pages with lots of competitions and free giveaways so head over there if you can and say hi 👋. I have a 5 star hygiene rating and all my home fragrance products have relevant CLP which is a regulation that requires companies to label, classify, and package chemicals before selling them.
